Welcome to YA-Sisterhood's Tournament Page

Here at the YA-Sisterhood, we love tournaments!  We are a family full of coaches and sports fans.  Our father was a coach before he retired, our uncles are coaches, and the rest of the family, husbands, cousins, and grandparents are all hardcore sports fanatics.  Last year, during March Madness, we were casually joking around, how the only way this would be interesting for us is if it were a tournament of book characters pitting it out against each other (preferably our fictional crushes!)  And, from there, our Crush Tourney and our Tournament of Heroines was born!  Currently the reigning king of YA Crushes is Jace from The Mortal Instruments. You can scroll down to the bottom to see the results of that tournament.  And our Queen of the Heroine's is Clary from The Mortal Instruments, so we have a ruling couple.  A huge congrats to Cassandra Clare for creating 2 such amazing characters!  You can find all the information for both tournaments below.  Stay tuned this summer (2012) for the 2nd annual YA Crush Tourney!

    Jace doesn't currently have a match running. This page is only the Tournament Summary page. Go to our home page and you'll see the posts for the individual matches. When a match is active, there will be a poll at the bottom of the post. Jace's next match is Monday, Aug. 1st.

    As for the the pink color, the matches with the colored writing are links to matches that have already happened if you want to look back at a previous match. Matches all in white have not occurred yet or are in progress.

    I'm not sure I understand what you're asking. If by chart, you mean bracket, we're a little behind on updating it. If you look at it again, I think you'll see that Hale beat four, but we haven't updated it to include his match against Zachary yet...

  26. I think that the poll freezes once you have voted, so you're not able to vote again. That's what happened to me.

  27. It does. We started out the tournament allowing multiple votes in round one, but after crashing numerous poll sites we switched it to one vote per person starting in Round Two.

    There are currently no live matches. If you'll look at the schedule up at the top, you'll see that we have matches on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Katniss's next match is on Wednesday I believe. We create a post for each match, and at the bottom of the match there is a poll that is open for 24 hours only. Feel free to look back over old matches, they should all be linked up.

    The book is called North of Beautiful by Justina Chen Headley. It's Contemporary YA, and it is an AMAZING book. One of our favorites!

  104. this is related to last years Crush Tournament, the bracket from last year doesn't have a winner...i know it was Jace, but would it be possible to add his name just for clarity and easiness?
