Secondly, You are welcome to write your own comments about either character in the comments section, but we will not tolerate rudeness. The minute it crosses over from logical argument into character bashing, your comments will be deleted and your vote canceled.  POLLS WILL BE OPEN FOR 24 HOURS AND WILL CLOSE AT 12:01AM EST ON DECEMBER 6th.

And now for the match....

I’m Jen, from the blog Unedited, I tweet avidly at @jenunedited, and can be found stalking YOU on facebook… but that’s enough about me. I’m the advocate for Hermione Granger and that’s where my focus is. To stay involved of all things Hermione Granger use hashtag #TEAMHERMIONE on twitter! Include my twitter so I can retweet and connect with you as much as possible!

About Her

So, let’s talk Hermione. You know, the girl who started with two big front teeth and turned into one amazing hottie. This brown hair, brown-eyed beauty can be found wearing the latest fashions when she isn’t in her black robes at Hogwarts. She’s not only bright in the Muggle world (non-magic folks) but can be found at the top of her class in the Wizarding world (magic folks… keep up). She’s known as a bit of a know-it-all but when you find yourself in a bind she’ll be the first with a spell to pull you right out of the sticky situation.

Best Attributes

Hermione isn’t your cookie-cutter heroine. The rawness in her inability to fit in makes her relatable to many girls. She wants to make friends and when she finally does she befriends several different personalities. The beauty of her friendship is the loyalty and trustworthiness she brings to the table. Judgment is left for those who are incompetent of understanding her beliefs. She’s a great support system for the house-elves and will stop at nothing until they’re freed. She’s a go-getter and the term give-up can NOT be found in her vocabulary.

What makes Hermione a true heroine?

Protecting the innocence and taming the guilty is a regular occurrence when hanging with her two best friends, Ron and Harry. From performing spells to hide from her enemies, to flying her way out of a sticky situation on the back of an invisible thestral (only seen to those who’ve witnessed death) this girl puts trust to a whole new level. Her ability to fake her way through a chess game, know how to destroy horcruxes, and learning all about the deathly hallows, she’s your own personal guide in any walk of life. Did I mention her determination... look at her... see what I mean?

What makes Hermione better than Claire?

Hermione may not be warding off Vampires in small town Texas like Claire, but she deals with her fair share of evil beings. With dementors, death eaters, and Voldemort himself, her plate is full of the worst kind of people… vampires - that don’t sparkle, would be child’s play. Hermione may find herself in a pickle from time to time but she is never impulsive unless it’s calculated. This goody-two-shoe may be annoying with her incessant need for perfection but you won’t find her in the headmaster’s office unless she was searching for a giant, battling it out for the Sorcerer’s stone, or finding out who opened the Chamber of Secrets. All while maintaining her status as one of the brightest wizards of her time. Heck, you might even find she doubles up on classes just for the fun of it.

Anything else you’d like to add?

This ROCKSTAR was ready for fame and her name deserves to be on the next bracket. Help me carry our girl to the end and you won’t just dream of pygmy puffs and chocolate frogs… those goodies will be granted.

Intro
Hi my name is Amber I from AwesomeSauce Book Club  you can also find me on Facebook HERE or on twitter HERE  if you are on twitter follow the hashtag #TEAMCLAIRE. For every round Claire wins I will be giving away 1 Morganville Vampire Series book. (winners choice)

WELCOME TO MORGANVILLE.
YOU'LL NEVER WANT TO LEAVE.

So, you're new to Morganville. Welcome, new resident! There are only a few important rules you need to know to feel comfortable in our quiet little town:

* Obey the speed limits.
* Don't litter.
* Whatever you do, don't get on the bad side of the vampires.

Yeah, we said vampires. Deal with it.
As a human newcomer, you'll need to find yourself a vampire Protector--someone willing to sign a contract to keep you and yours from harm (especially from the other vampires). In return, you'll pay taxes . . . just like in any other town. Of course, in most other towns, those taxes don't get collected by the Bloodmobile.
Oh, and if you decide not to get a Protector, you can do that, too . . . but you'd better learn how to run fast, stay out of the shadows, and build a network of friends who can help you. Try contacting the residents of the Glass House--Michael, Eve, Shane, and Claire. They know their way around, even if they always end up in the middle of the trouble somehow.

Welcome to Morganville. You'll never want to leave.
And even if you do . . . well, you can't.
Sorry about that.

About Claire
Claire is just a human girl. She is petite with brownish red hair. She is extremely smart and is accepted to college at the age of 16. Her college experience is one that is way out of this world. She lands herself in a mess with vampires. Even though she is just a normal human she somehow always manages to kick some butt. She never backs down and will always go out of her way to help her friends. She is one of the toughest girls out there! Not in physical strength but with determination! She is clever and even most vampires respect her. She has saved the citizens and vamps in Morganville time and time again.She has a great sense of humor especially considering her life or a life of someone she loves is always in danger. She is kind even to people who don't deserve it. She puts her life on the line all the time to save people.  She also managed to tame the bad boy Shane.

What makes your girl better than her competitor?
Lets just start off with that we all love Hermione! I mean seriously we all know Hermione is one tough and awesome heroine. The things that stand out is that Claire is plain and simple a human in a supernatural world. She has no wand or any magic to help her. She faces a supernatural world with just herself and her friends by her side. Yes, Hermione is extremely smart as is Claire but Hermione has the aide of magic to help her in her battles. Claire only has her intellect and her friends. This is what makes Claire stand out so much to me, she is human no magic no supernatural strength no secrets in her past. She is just a really super smart girl caught up in a world with vampires. She is really easy to relate too.

Also Hermione has been featured in 8 amazingly successful movies, she has had her time in the spot light. Let someone else have some too. :)

Why I wanted to be an advocate for Claire:
 Claire was my first choice. She is kind of an under dog and I find is not as appreciated as she should be. She is not like a lot of the other YA Characters. There is no secret to her make-up, she doesn't fall in love with a non human, she has no special power. She is brave, she is smart, loyal and has an amazing support group..her 3 best friends!  There's  been 10 books so far and each book she has shown us she is a fighter and will never stop fighting. These books are centered on normal human kids living in a vampire town.  Even as an adult I admire Claire, she just has that something special.
