~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Now that Nikki has rescued Jack, all she wants is to be with him and graduate high school. But Cole tricked Nikki into feeding off him, and she’s begun the process of turning into an Everliving herself... which means she must feed on a Forfeit soon — or die.

Terrified for her survival, Nikki and Jack begin a desperate attempt to reverse the process using any means possible. Even Cole, who they expected to fight them at every turn, has become an unlikely ally — but how long can it last? Nikki needs to feed on Cole to survive, Cole needs Nikki to gain the throne in the Everneath, Jack needs Nikki because she is everything to him — and together, they must travel back to the Underworld to undo Nikki’s fate and make her mortal once more. But Cole isn’t the only one with plans for Nikki: the Queen has not forgotten Nikki’s treachery, and she wants her destroyed for good. Will Nikki be forced to spend eternity in the Underworld, or does she have what it takes to bring down the Everneath once and for all?

In this stunning conclusion to the Everneath trilogy, Brodi Ashton evokes the resiliency of the human spirit and the indomitable power of true love.

Top Ten Tuesday: Beginnings/Endings In A Book

Top Ten Tuesday is an original meme hosted and created by The Broke and the Bookish

This Week:  The Top Endings or Beginnings in Books (in no particular order)

1.) Okay, so a play not a book, but still amazing beginning.  The Glass Menagerie by Tennessee Williams

"Yes, I have things in my pockets.  I have tricks up my sleeves.  But I am the opposite of a Stage Magician.  He gives you illusion that has the appearance of truth.  I give you truth in the pleasant disguise of illusion."  (Tom, Act 1, Scene 1)

Just love this quote!!!!

2.) Of Poseidon by Anna Banks

I just laughed my butt off when Emma runs into Galen and talks about assaulting his pecks.  I even went back and re-read the chapter because it was so hilarious.

3.) Half-Blood by Jennifer L. Armentrout

I loved meeting Alex and Aiden for the first time.  It makes it all the better that he tackles her and then uses compulsion to put her to sleep, especially when she wakes up leaning on his shoulder and he hasn't pushed her away.  So swoony!

4.) Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone  by JK Rowling

Um...need I explain?  Owls everywhere and people in robes muttering about Muggles!  This was the beginning of my love of books....

5.) Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince by JK Rowling

Snape screaming at Harry, "I am NOT a coward!"  I knew at that moment that he was a good guy and Dumbledore had asked him to kill him.  Snape is my man through and through.

6.) Poison Princess by Kresley Cole

I LOVED this book so hard!!!  And I won't be too spoilery, but lets just say she finally comes into her own at the very end of the book, so watch out because "[she's] on the hunt."

7.) Entice by Jessica Shirvington

I just love when Phoenix sends Violet the letter that says, "Care for a trade, lover?"  He's such a jerk, but I LOVE HIM!!!!  Plus, it just sets up a great beginning for the next book.

8.)  Everbound by Brodi Ashton

I can't say anything because MAJOR SPOILER, but let's just say that Cole, that sneaky little hottie, surprised the heck out of me.  Such a great ending, and I am dying for book 3.

9.) Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi

Again, no spoilers, but let's just say, I'm ready for Juliette to show the world what she can do!!!

10.) Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

I love how we meet Perry in all his masculinity straight off.  He rushes into the fire and saves Aria, and I just love him for it.  Plus, the world building was amazing from the first sentence!

Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn

Another Little Piece by Kate Karyus Quinn

The Sisters Say:  Dark, Gritty, and Unsettling
The spine-tingling horror of Stephen King meets an eerie mystery worthy of Sara Shepard's Pretty Little Liars series in Kate Karyus Quinn's haunting debut.

On a cool autumn night, Annaliese Rose Gordon stumbled out of the woods and into a high school party. She was screaming. Drenched in blood. Then she vanished.

A year later, Annaliese is found wandering down a road hundreds of miles away. She doesn't know who she is. She doesn't know how she got there. She only knows one thing: She is not the real Annaliese Rose Gordon.

Now Annaliese is haunted by strange visions and broken memories. Memories of a reckless, desperate wish . . . a bloody razor . . . and the faces of other girls who disappeared. Piece by piece, Annaliese's fractured memories come together to reveal a violent, endless cycle that she will never escape—unless she can unlock the twisted secrets of her past.

I love and hate horror movies.  I love them because I like being on the edge of my seat, waiting for something to jump out of the dark corner; but I hate them because inevitably, as soon as the lights go out, here come the nightmares.   So my solution?  Never watch horror movies.  So, I haven’t watched a horror movie in years, and I have started to miss them.  And then lo and behold, horror starts becoming a trend in YA books!  Problem solved.  I love this growing trend because for some reason,  books can be scary and thrill me without causing nightmares.

So when I saw Kate Karyus Quinn’s debt novel a couple of months ago, I knew it was one I was going to want to read; and it definitely delivered.  Kate’s world was grisly—soaked in the blood of recklessness and evil.  With every new memory Annaliese regains, the truth becomes more daunting and more grotesque.  Fans of Kendare Blake will love this one.

From Chapter 1, I was pulled right into the twisted world of deception and brutality.  Kate’s descriptions (while overly detailed at times) were hauntingly beautiful and terrible at the same time, and I found myself lost in a maze of shadows.  Annaliese was a great mc for a horror novel because she had this brokenness to her that made you want to feel sorry for her, but at the same time, she had an air of coldness that sent my teeth to chattering.  She was a completely unreliable narrator which made the tension much more palpable.  I also liked that I didn’t take a liking to her.  Does that make sense?  She’s made horrible decisions in the past and there is a part of her that would scare the dark side of the moon.  Her treachery and darkness made her a great character to both love and fear.

Now the bad guy (well, one of them) really disgusted me.  I won’t say much about him because it’s too spoilery, but let me just say, he definitely triggered my gag reflex.  His words and actions were manipulative and sociopathic; and seeing how much he enjoyed pain and suffering totally gave me the heebie jeebies.

The only thing that really bothered me was the length of the story.  I really enjoyed it, but I got to a point where I wanted it to hurry up and end so I could see how everything was going to either work out or go to hell.  I truthfully think it was a good 50-75 pages too long, and maybe that’s my attention span talking, but I had a hard time finishing it as quickly as I do other books.  Most books I read in 2 days, and this one took me 4 days to complete.  But then again, it might be because I couldn’t sit down and devour a book with so much grotesque imagery.

Overall, while it wasn’t my favorite ya horror that I have read, it was still a story that grabbed me and pulled me under.  The ending was both somber and cathartic, though, so while I was still left with an unsettling feeling from the tragic decisions, I wasn’t left thinking, “Wow, sucks to be her.”  If you are a horror fan, then you should definitely check this one out.

The Sisters Say:  Delectable and Inventive—a romance worthy of the term “epic”
Some things are permanent.

Indelible.

And they cannot be changed back.

Joy Malone learns this the night she sees a stranger with all-black eyes across a crowded room—right before the mystery boy tries to cut out her eye. Instead, the wound accidentally marks her as property of Indelible Ink, and this dangerous mistake thrusts Joy into an incomprehensible world—a world of monsters at the window, glowing girls on the doorstep, and a life that will never be the same.

Now, Joy must pretend to be Ink’s chosen one—his helper, his love, his something for the foreseeable future...and failure to be convincing means a painful death for them both. Swept into a world of monsters, illusion, immortal honor and revenge, Joy discovers that sometimes, there are no mistakes.

Somewhere between reality and myth lies…

THE TWIXT

“Just remember—you caught his eye before he cut yours,” she whispered through a smile, “And that was no mistake.”  --ARC, page 367

Dawn Metcalf has invented a world that lies parallel to our own—a world with monsters, a world where names are everything, and a world where black eyed boys steal away your heart.  Her world is full of things lurking in the shadows, things that go bump in the night—but they aren’t all terrible.  Some are frighteningly beautiful and enchanting—like they stepped right out of magic and myth and dreams.  If only her world of monsters and magic were real, I would find myself lurking about in the shadows hoping for a glimpse of something remarkable to whisk me through a door in space into a world of adventure.

I was first drawn to this book because the cover is absolutely gorgeous.  Seriously beautiful!  And then after reading the blurb, I was intrigued by Joy having to pretend to belong to this terrifying boy—both body and soul.  It was enticing and scary at the same time, and Dawn did not let me down.  As I said before, her world-building was exotic.  I loved seeing how The Twixt worked and meeting all the creatures that inhabit the realm next to ours.  There were times, though, where I did get a bit confused.  Mainly, with the signaturaes (I probably spelled that wrong).  I wanted a bit more information about what they do—what happens to a human who is claimed?  I’m hoping this becomes more clear in the next book.

I really liked Joy—right away I felt like I could connect to her.  She was struggling with her own life problems, and the all of a sudden she is thrust onto a dangerous path.  I could see her viewing this strange new world as something to distract her from her own—something that made her own shadows a bit more bright.  I liked that she used her pain from her own life to give her courage to explore her new boundaries.  It was like she thought, “What the heck?” and then jumped head first down the rabbit hole.  I liked this recklessness because (you can think me a nerd) I’ve often wondered what I would do if presented with something out of this world.  Would I seize the opportunity or cower and back down?

I really loved the ruthlessness and innocence of Ink.  You would think that those two adjectives couldn’t describe one person, but they do.  Ink knows very little about the human world, choosing to do his job and only that.  But then he makes a mistake that thrusts him into a relationship with no way out.  I loved watching him stumble over himself as he tried to act normal.  It was refreshing and sweet.  At the same time, if anyone crossed him, they would pay for it in blood.  I liked that he didn’t let his sweetness in some instances to make him into a coward in others.  He was strong and emotionless at times, and that made him very alpha male-ish!

This was such a great read, and while it might have started out a bit slow; after a few chapters, I was completely hooked.  Now, I am dying to find out what happens next in The Twixt!  Dawn’s world was rich with myth and blood and love and tragedy—and I can’t wait to find out which of those are permanent, indelible in The Twixt.

“’And now you need to come with me,’ Ink said. ‘To show that I have not taken your heart.’  She stopped, her veins warming, her pulse thumping.  ‘What if you have?’  Ink drew a fine line of fire in the air and spoke softly over his shoulder.  ‘Well, then, fair is fair.’”

Dimitri from The Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead
Hello everyone! *Waves* Welcome to the 3rd Annual YA Crush Tourney! I am Chandra from Unabridged Bookshelf and I have the great honor of representing the esteemed Dimitri Belikov this year! If I seem familiar, you may have seen me here last year representing another fellow from the Vampire Academy and Bloodlines series by the incrediably talented Richelle Mead, Mr. Eddie Castile. I had a lot of fun last year, and could not be more excited to have the chance to be an advocate again let alone for the gorgeous guardian Dimitri.

Dimitri is the knight is shining armor girls have been dreaming about for years. He is protective, noble, always willing to put his life on the line for those he loves and those he has sworn to protect. He takes his duty as Guardian for the Moroi (good vampires) very seriously, especially after losing his first charge and his best friend to the Strigoi (bad vampires).Dimitri is a true gentleman and most defiantly crush worthy.

Dimitri is tall, dark, and dreamy all wrapped up in a Russian accent. Dimitri stands just over 6’7” with dark soulful eyes, and long dark hair and he is incredibly fit. Don’t believe me, why not find out what Ms. Rose Hathaway has to say about Dimitri’s looks.

“The other problem in my life is Dimitri. He's the one who killed Natalie, and he's a total badass. He's also pretty good-looking. Okay-more than good-looking. He's hot-like, the kind of hot that makes you stop walking on the street and get hit by traffic.
 Rose Hathaway-Frostbite

Dimitri has many talents including making girls melt around him. He is a fierce warrior, and is admired by the entire Dhampir and Moroi world. When we first meet Dimitri in Vampire Academy he already has six Molnija marks which are given every time a Dhampir Guardian kills the evil Strigoi. He is a lethal machine who only softens ups around those he loves.

“Yet, it had been Dimitri’s gentleness and thoughtfulness mixed with that deadliness that made him so wonderful. The same hands that wielded stakes with such precision would carefully brush the hair out of my face. The eyes that could astutely spot any danger in the area would regard me wonderingly and worshipfully, like I was the most beautiful and amazing woman in the world.”
Rose Hathaway-Blood Promise.

As advocate, I am here to campaign for Dimitri and convince you of why you should vote for my favorite Dhampir. If the above has yet to convince you, then let me leave you with one final quote for you to ponder over.

“Dimitri: Well, you and I will both be Lissa's guardians someday. I need to protect her at all costs. If a pack of Strigoi come, I need to throw my body between them and her.
Rose: I know that. Of course that's what you have to do.
Dimitri: No. If I let myself love you, I won't throw myself in front of her. I'll throw myself in front of you.”

Will Herondale from Infernal Devices by Cassandra Clare

TMI Movie News: We are a fansite for all things Cassie Clare. We are obscenely passionate about The Mortal Instruments and Infernal Devices, especially our boys Jace and Will Herondale! We keep everyone up to date on the important fandom related news including books, movies, hawt characters and just plain fan-crushing. Please check us out on our site MortalInstrumentsMovies.com , Twitter: TMI_MovieNews, and Tumblr: CityofBonesMovie! William Herondale, what can you say about Will? He is snark and wit to all, yet sweet to those who've captured his devotion. Guarded to protect not only mortals but his own heart, yet more vulnerable than most. He loves reading and poetry, but can also wield a seraph blade with astonishing skill. Will is strength and control, but he is also beauty and reckless abandon. To know him and not love him seems impossible. His kindness is found by the true observer. Will is deep violet blue eyes, and ink black hair that often falls in his eyes. Will has thick lashes, and elegant features; he is well built with broad shoulders and strong muscles. “His eyes were steady and blue they were everything Will was; true and tender, sharp and witty, loving and kind.”   Behind his walls Will is just someone who wants to be loved, to be part of a family and let those people care for him. He is a romantic; his love is fierce and unyielding. He will do anything and everything for those he loves no matter the cost to himself. “He bent to put his cheek against hers. His breath against her ear made her shudder with each deliberately spoken word. "I have wanted to do this," he said, "every moment of every hour of every day that I have been with you since the day I met you.”

will 11

Will Herondale is somewhat of a kicked puppy; in desperate need of help but just wants love and he'll protect you. He has had a tragic childhood; he has punished himself by pushing away anyone who could possibly love him. He is self sacrificing almost to the point of masochism. His control and restraint for the betterment of others is unparalleled, placing him leagues beyond what most heroes are capable.
Will would do anything for Jem his parabatai; even give up his own happiness and dreams for Jem. Nearly selling his soul to help make Jem’s life a little easier, providing not only tangible palliatives but also those of friendship and loyalty. “Our souls are knit. We are one person, James.”
A true literature hero must win our hearts thru writ, and no one does it better than Will. He loves books as much as we do. The boy can whip out a quote from any number of classics to suit the moment or express his feelings - oh my.

“It was books that made me feel that perhaps I was not completely alone. They could be honest with me, and I with them.” I will be honest with you, Will. We flipping LOVE you more than words could express! If his wisecracks don't enamor you, watch out for his naked vulnerability, expressed to only one.

Will has mastered the art of killing Demons, while he does not have any supernatural abilities he knows how to fight his way out of the whole schmear. And while your donning 17th century grace, that's a tough act to beat. Chivalrous protection? Yes, please! Ah...but be warned, never will he oppress your dignity or honor. Once earned, you will maintain his loyalty and protection, unthreatened by disrespect or belittlement. His valiance is that of humility and earnestness to earn love, not for intimidation or domination. Will is also hilarious; his brand of sarcasm and dark wit will leave you rolling...or blushing.  Take for instance his opinion on ducks. “Remember when you tried to convince me to feed a poultry pie to the mallards in the park to see if you could breed a race of cannibal ducks?"
"They ate it too, Bloodthirsty little beasts. Never trust a duck.”

Duck

And there's always the less innocent remarks - "Do you think you can be trusted in Downworld? The gaming hells, the dens of magical vice, the women of loose morals..." Will smiled the way Lucifer might have smiled, moments before he fell from heaven. "Would tomorrow be too early to start looking, do you think? " Have you ever noticed how "Will" is always the cornerstone of all great phrases, like Will you marry me or Where there's a Will there's a way? Finally, and perhaps one of the headiest arguments, because of Will we got Jace Wayland-Morgenstern-Lightwood-Herondale, another flawless character who you can’t help but fall in love with! You simply can't help falling deeply, madly and heinously fully in love with William Herondale - “What he needs now is to love and have that love returned.”

Match #26: Dank(1) vs Will(2) Goes to Will

THE WINNER OF MATCH #26 IS WILL!

Hi everyone! I am so excited to representing Dank today! I started reading about Dank about a year ago I would say, and well, let's face it. He's hot; he can sing and he's death. Yeah - Death - talk about bad ass.

Personality: He's pretty honest and upfront. For the most part, each character who has a run in with Dank knows where they stand with him. The only time he withholds anything is when it might effect/affect Pagan in some way. He writes music from his heart. Dank has a sarcastic side, that isn't abrasive, but just enough to tease Pagan. He takes his "work" seriously and after his love with Pagan, understands what he is doing more clearly, so he is willing to grow (how many guys really are?)

Looks: Bluer than blue eyes. So blue that they have been referred to as gems. Look at the covers. Those babies pop. He also has black, not too long hair, that curls on the ends. A sultry smirk reserved only for Pagan and a dimple. Just one, sinisterly cute dimple. Smoking hot body. Did I mention his blue eyes?

Talents: Besides easing people into their deaths? He serenades (and well, like soothingly and sensually) his girlfriend Pagan with a guitar and lullabies that he has written about how she has saved him. I mean, what girl doesn't want that? I do.

Special Attributes/Best Qualities: One of my favorite qualities about him is his compassion. He can be a tough, I know that, but he can be so sweet and he doesn't have to be. For example, there was a little girl in EXISTENCE and he talked to the little girl and tried to make dying easier and made it a beautiful process. He didn't have to. His compassion extends farther than Pagan. Then there is that whole he is Death thing. Ya know - no biggie. Or the fact that he is a deity.

Anything else? This year, with the help of my street team (WHO ARE AWESOME) and the great Abbi Glines, I have added some other reader's favorite qualities, moments, and quotes.

One of my favorite quotes: “He's already proven he'll defy Heaven to keep her. If Hell wants a piece of him too, then bring it on.”  SWOON!

Two Responses from Abbi Glines!
What are some of your favorite things about Dank?
He holds the key to life or death in his hands yet he becomes as weak as a human when he falls for Pagan. There is something about watching a Deity act like a mortal because of love that gets to you. One of the reasons I love Greek Mythology.

And why was he a fun character to write? Because he wasn't a man. He was something that every human fears but they know they will meet one day. Writing him with emotions and giving him a voice was almost comforting in a way.

From the Greedy Booker - (and a quote I love) - “I’m not a man so I do not have a heart that loves as a human does. I’m an immortal god that dwells with supreme power because I hold the keys to Death. But you are my existence. I am yours.”- Existence

From Jorie Sus- Confronting Ghede with the Warriors threatening to destroy voodoo if he doesn't release Pagan's soul - (I have to say I loved this too. BAD ASS and it reminded me of how tough Dank is.)

From Erica Cope "It's the scene where Pagan is home from dress shopping and Dank comments on the pale pink dress then....
Both his hands gripped my waist pulling me hard up against his body. "You tempt me. I can't be tempted. I'm not made to be tempted but you, Pagan Moore, you tempt me."
Then he goes on to say:
"I didn't understand it at first. But now I know. It's your soul calling to me. Souls mean nothing to me. They aren't supposed to. But yours has become my obsession."
Totaly swoonworthy moment for me. :)
What's better than having a sexy rockstar serenade you in your sleep? :)

Kayla -  Okay, seriously, this year's tourney is full of total hotness and it was hard to choose which fella I wanted to support. I decided Dank was my man this year to support because, well, what's hotter than the baddest guy ever (hello - he's DEATH) who also plays the guitar plus sings and loves fiercely! <3 data-blogger-escaped-font="">

Willow D - “I realised you owned me one night in this room. I was singing to you and you were sleeping. You made a little noise in your sleep like you were distressed and I panicked and ran to your side. You grabbed my arm in your sleep and pulled it up against your face and went back to sleep. I didn't want to ever move.”

So if you love Dank or just fell in love with him, support us! Tweet for #TeamDank, on facebook, on your blog and where ever else!

The Winner of Match #25 is Dimitri!

2013VoteDAEMON-TOURNEY-RECTANGLE

Hey there tourney voters! I'm Stacey from the Fantasy Book Addict. If you know me from twitter, then you already know I'm obsessed with most of these YA crushes. I have a VERY LONG list of fictional boyfriends and Daemon Black is right at the top which is why it makes total sense I should represent him! Now, let's get to the awesome that is Daemon. Not only am I going to tell you why you should vote for Daemon, I'm going to tell you why he should WIN the whole damn thing! Fact #1: Daemon Black is over-the-top SMEXY! My girl Katy describes him best in four sentences: "Beautiful face. Beautiful body. Horrible attitude. It was the holy trinity of hot boys." (Obsidian) Do you still need more? How about this description from Obsidian:

Pepe Toth
"Heavy footsteps came from the other side, and then the door was swinging open and I was staring at a very broad, tan, well-muscled chest. A naked chest. My gaze dropped and my breath sort of...stalled. Jeans hung low on his hips, revealing a thin line of dark hair that formed below his navel and disappeared under the band of the jeans." Or this: "My gaze finally traveling north again, I noted thick, sooty lashes fanning the tips of his high cheeks and hiding the color of his eyes as he looked down at me." Don't forget his: ".full, kissable lips." And this: "[eyes] so green and brilliant they couldn't be real." *wipes sweaty brow* Yeah, I'm pretty sure I made my point. Daemon is all types of yum.

Fact #2: His cocky persona only makes us love him more! Who doesn't like confidence? Well, Daemon oozes it. He knows he's hot, and worse, he knows Katy does too. But, he's always really playful about it which only makes us love him more. "You're such an ass. Has.anyone ever told you that?" He flashed a genuinely amused smile. "Oh, Kitten, every single day of my blessed life." (Obsidian) "You probably even dream about me." His gaze lowered to my mouth. I felt my lips part. "I bet you even write my name in your notebooks, over and over again, with a little heart drawn around it." (Obsidian) "He rolled his eyes. "You just like me for my body. Admit it." "Well, yeah..." His lashes lifted and his eyes glittered like jewels. "I feel like man-candy" (Opal)

Fact #3: He will do anything to protect his family and Katy! Daemon was totally rude when he first met Katy. Actually, he spends a good portion of Obsidian being a jerk to pretty much everyone. But, we find out later that he was trying to protect her. He knows he can put Katy in danger and he puts aside his own feelings to try to keep her safe. That, to me, is the definition of swoon-worthy. "This was wrong. Think of Dawson. Look at what happened to him. Did I want to take the same risk? Leave Dee all alone? But even now I could feel her skin, taste it--sweet and sugary like candy. Hear that wonderful sound she made over and over again, haunting every mile I put between us." (Obsidian - The Morning After) In Daemon's mind, it's his job to protect his family. Nothing else matters to him. Throughout the series, he sacrifices himself, and when things go wrong, he blames himself. The ultimate hero.

Fact #4: He's more vulnerable than he lets on! More than anything, I think Daemon just wants to live a normal life. It seems like Katy is the one person who can see who he really is. "A smile pulled at his lips as he looked away. "I had more fun that day than I can remember. I know it sounds stupid, but--'' "It's not stupid." My heart lurched. At once, I sort of understood him better. Underneath it all, I think he wanted to be normal." "And there was the real Daemon. Still a total badass, but there was pain in him, a vulnerability in the lines of his face that I doubted anyone ever got to see." (Obsidian)

2013DAEMON YA CRUSH TOURNEY VERTICAL
Fact #5: He knows how to deliver a memorable kiss! I have two words for you people: Laptop Scene "There wasn't a moment of hesitation. His mouth was on mine, and I stopped breathing. He shuddered and there was a sound from the back of his throat, half growl, half moan. Little shivers of pleasure and panic shot through me as he deepened the kiss, parting my lips. I stopped thinking. I pushed off the wall, sealing the tiny space between us, pressing against him, digging my fingers into his hair. It was soft, silky―" If you want to read more, you'll have to read Obsidian. There's only so much hotness I can fit into one post. ;-p Okay, okay.I feel like I've made my point. Daemon Black is the ultimate YA Crush! He deserves your VOTE!

THE WINNER OF MATCH #24 IS WILL!

ATTENTION!
The Dukes have spoken and they are demanding action from YOU! Kaidan Rowe, son of Pharzuph, Duke of Lust, is up for 2013's Debut boy in the YA Crush Tourney and they are demanding that he win! You wouldn't want to upset Lucifer's head demons now... would you? Kaidan's up against some stiff competition so Pharzuph and the other Dukes have recruited me, Kayleigh from K-Books along with the #KaidanStreetTeam to tell you why he deserves to be crowned 2013's champion!

Kaidan Rowe is the hottest of the HOTT!

Kai is the son of the head demon of Lust... of course he is HOTT! What girl can resist the super gorgeous, confident, lustful Kaidan with his messy brown hair, blue eyes and ENGLISH ACCENT! Oh yes... you heard me... English Accent! Rather that tell you all about Kai... Let's see what Anna Whitt has to say... "Good gracious, he was sexy - a word that had not existed in my personal vocabulary until that moment. This guy was sexy like it was his job or something." He is TT worthy..."He was smokin' hot. As in H-O-T-T hott. I'd never understood until that moment why girls insisted on adding the extra T. This guy was extra T worthy." You can get lost in his swoon-worthy eyes... "Gosh, his eyes were gorgeous - the color of tropical honeymoon waters ringed in dark sapphire and enclosed by thick lashes" He even makes fruit sexy! "That's a shame," he picked up a green pear from his plate and bit into it, licking juice that dripped down him thumb. My cheeks warmed as I set down my glass. "Okay now you're just being crude." I said. He grinned with lazy satisfaction. Now don't tell Pharzuph and the other Dukes I said this but... *Looks around and moves closer*

Deep down Kaidan is really a sweetheart and uber Swoony!

Yes Kaidan may be the epitome of snarky sexiness but deep down he is a sweetheart and he always puts the ones he loves before himself. In his own words... "Anna... the night of the summit, when you were saved, it was the only time in my life I've ever thanked God for anything."*SWOOOOONNNNN* NO matter what, he is swoon worthy and wants to be better... "Because all I could think about was you, Anna, and how good you are, and what you'd think of me. You put thoughts into my head that a Neph should never have." He makes every girl want freckles... "What do you want from me Kai?" "For starters?" His voice lowered to sexy, dangerous depths. "I want to introduce myself to every freckle on your body."

DID I MENTION HE WAS THE SEXIEST NEPH AROUND?

His bedroom eyes... "Seriously" I whispered, unable to look away. "You're doing the bedroom-eyes thing again." He sleeps in the buff... "Dear God!" I screamed and buried my face in my pillow. "What?" I heard him ask. "Did you see a roach?" "Why are you naked?!" I did not dare to life my red face. "Huh. Is that all?" He asked. "I always sleep in the buff. I don't know how you can stand all that clothing."

HE IS A KICK-ASS DRUMMER

Kaidan is the drummer in band Lavicious... "There was an intensity in the way he played, like he was unleashing his passion into the music and nothing else mattered. He was feeling it, lost in it, and he was good. A light sheen of sweat shone on his arms and face, dampening and darkening his hair at the temples." "Now, with the drummers' absence of aura, I was able to watch the muscles in his biceps and forearms flex as he slammed the drumsticks down in a whirlwind of precise movement. The beat was intoxicating, bumping each nerve ending inside of me. His whole body moved fluidly, jumping with the force of the beat, his face focused and sure."

He's even got girls writing poems and limericks about him!  Courtesy of @KatieOlley
So we know this real cute guy named Kai Who is so not the type to be shy He is H-O-T-T In the Crush Tourney he'll be So go vote for him and sigh for Kai!
You know he is epically awesome when girls are writing stuff about him!
Now I know you don't wanna get on the Dukes bad sides (all they have are bad sides) so.... Vote for the sexiest, most talented, musical, lustful Neph around. He created the word sexy, he is the epitome of HOTT, the secretly sweetest of them all, and the most swoon worthy of all of the book boys!

VOTE TEAM KAIDAN ROWE... ... or suffer the consequences of the Dukes' Wrath. You have been warned!
