Waiting on Wednesday: Velveteen by Daniel Marks

This week's book that we are anxiously awaiting is Velveteen by Daniel Marks. It is published by Random House Children's Books and is set to be released on October 9, 2012.

This cover was just recently revealed, and ever since it was, I find myself going back to look at it!  I mean, before even reading the synopsis, I knew I would want to read this!  I love the premise of this book!  I love the idea that her haunting causes cracks in purgatory--it's so original!  But even more, I think Velveteen sounds like a kick butt heroine, and I love how it sounds like Daniel Marks is going break down the idea that a heroine must be all good.  And lastly, it has a forbidden hottie--one of my favorite aspects in a book!!!
