Waiting on Wednesday: The Hunger Games Movie

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill over at Breaking the Spine in which we highlight a book that we are anxiously waiting to be released!  This week in honor of Banned Books Week, we are actually going to do something a little different.  We are going to feature a movie we are all DYING to see, The Hunger Games.

In 2010, The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins was the 5th most challenged book.  I have yet to meet anyone that did not fall head over heels in love with this series when they read it!  Its an amazing, breath-taking piece of art that should never be taken off a shelf, unless its to be read!  The Hunger Games movie will be released on March 23, 2012!  You can bet, I'll be at that midnight showing!!!

  1. As much as I didn't like the first book (hides) I really want to see the movie. I'm beginning to think I just wasn't in the right mood to read it at the time.

  4. I can't wait to see how they adapt the books to movies. I remember while reading it, they felt so cinematic. Easily one of my favorite series ever!

  14. I'm hoping that they do a good job with this. I don't know much about the actors, but I hope they get the feeling of the Hunger Games right. You know 1 part romance, 3 parts deadly action :D

  16. I totally can't wait for this! But(and I may be wrong), I believe that is the teaser trailer, not the official one. That's what MTV said, anyway. But an awesome trailer, nonetheless!! :D
